How does the service work?

If your GP thinks you need to see a physiotherapist, they will send a referral letter which will then be reviewed by our team.

Once we receive your details, our team will contact you to offer you a convenient appointment. This will be followed by a letter to your home address confirming the date, time and location of your appointment.

You must confirm the appointment at least 24 hours before the date otherwise your appointment will be cancelled. If we do not hear from you we will discharge you from the waiting list.

As soon as your GP contacts us we will ensure that we see you as soon as possible. The average waiting time for an assessment is less than one month.

My therapist provided myself with advice and guidance relevant to my individual recovery. I was also provided with exercises to assist in my recovery. The exercises were graded building up in intensity and for each exercise I was given detailed information sheets which also had pictures of the exercise and the duration of each. She was professional throughout my whole treatment plan and also kind and caring. I was given the tools to aid in my recovery that were tailor made for me. In short my therapist has given the ability and range of movement that I had been so severely lacking.
